Please join Scarborough Buy Local at our monthly Breakfast Meetings, on September 13, 2016 at Scarborough Public Library from 8:00am to 9:00am. Our guest speaker will be Catherine Morrison from the Scarborough Public Library. We would like to thank the library for hosting our breakfast meetings throughout the year. These meetings are open to all local business professionals in the Scarborough area.

Our August raffle winner was Scarborough Public Library, 48 Gorham Rood, Scarborough, ME 883-4723. There will be pastries and coffee provided by Biddeford Savings Bank at the September event.

Making Connections: SEDCO and Scandinavia

In June, SEDCO’s Executive Director, Karen Martin, participated in Maine’s Trade Mission to Scandinavia, organized by the Maine International Trade Center. Karen will talk about the reasons behind the trade mission, and how they relate to Scarborough’s future. Business development, business partnerships, and even labor recruitment are essential elements. Karen will also talk about the cultural aspects of doing business in Scandinavia. There might be pretty pictures too!

All meetings are held at the Scarborough library between 8 and 9 AM. Please note if you have any great ideas on how to make our businesses more profitable in any way please let us know.
